MARYLAND - A class-action lawsuit has been filed recently against the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) by frustrated users of the MTA Mobility/Paratransit Program. The federal class-action lawsuit filed by the Maryland Disability Law Center alleges "inappropriate denial of eligibility" and excessive wait times on the phone for bookings. The plaintiffs are not seeking damages, but rather for the MTA to make the necessary changes to improve the system.
