Profile: TCAT and Gadabout

NEW YORK STATE - TCAT, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation that provides public transportation services for Cornell University, the City of Ithaca, and Tompkins County, NY. The following video describes the different services available to wheelchair users with TCAT. They include wheelchair accessible fixed-route buses and the complimentary door-to-door ADA Paratransit service. It also explains the difference between the ADA Paratransit service and the local non-profit service for older and disabled residents of Tompkins County, known as Gadabout.

Addressing the Growing Need for Seniors Transport in D.C./Virginia/Maryland Region

VIRGINIA - At present, 20% of Americans 65 and older do not drive. That percentage is about to grow much larger as more and more "baby-boomers" begin to retire. NEWS: Ohio Ambulette Company Improperly Bills State Medicaid for Over $1 Million

OHIO - An Ohio State Auditor’s Report released late last year has concluded that Greathouse Medical Transport improperly billed Ohio Medicaid for a total of $1,013,028.24. The investigation also found that 11 of the company's drivers were not qualified to transport patients.
