BSI GROUP - BSI British Standards (BSI) is the National Standards Body for the United Kingdom. It was the first organization of it's kind in the world. Founded in 1901 as the Engineering Standards Committee, BSI has grown into a world leader active in over 150 countries working with manufacturing and service industries, businesses, governments and consumers to facilitate the production of British, European, and International standards. With over 650 million people globally affected by a disability, accessibility is seen by BSI as an integral component in the development of universal standards. Accessibility can include everything from the ability to access information online, to universal building design, and standards for travel and transportation as shown in the following video which features the BSI publication: Code of Practice for Wheelchair Passports.
