NEWS: AMR's 'Home for the Holidays' Reunites Families at Thanksgiving

MOBILE, ALABAMA - Nov. 24, 2011 - Home for the Holidays is a program that helps reunite shut-ins with family during important seasonal holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. The program is an initiative provided by American Medical Response (AMR). They use their EMT's and ambulances to provide free non-emergency medical transportion for selected individuals living in assisted living facilities to be home with family to celebrate the holiday. AMR is involved in a number of projects and programs that provide assistance to individuals and communities across the United States and abroad. The following video is one example of the Home for the Holidays program helping a woman in Mobile, Alabama to be home with her family this Thanksgiving.
