NEMT: Texas Medicaid Transportation Awareness Campaign

TEXAS - The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has launched an awareness campaign to inform both healthcare providers and patients about the availability and benefits of the HHSC's Medical Transportation Program for children with Medicaid and their parent or caregiver and other eligible patients. Medicaid provides free transportation for qualifying Texas Health Steps patients to get to the doctor, dentist, or pharmacy. The awareness campaign draws show how the program works and draws attention to aspects of the program that not everyone may know about or fully understand. Resources for healthcare providers includes a short video overview (as shown in the video below), a long video tutorial, a PointPoint presentation, and a desk reference available in both english and spanish. The resources for patients are all available in both english and spanish, they include a brochure, push card, poster, and wallet card.

All blog posts and directory page dealing with non-emergency medical transportation can be found on the NEMT Index.
