Putting the "Service" Back into Transportation Services

COSTUMER SERVICE - The following videos feature three entertaining examples of exemplar customer service from the taxi industry that can be an inspiration to any transportation provider. In the first video, motivational speaker Shep Hyken tells the story of an interesting cab ride he took from downtown Dallas to the airport. He shares this experience to give his audience an example of great customer service. Part of the story relates to the Mustangs of Las Colinas fountain located in Irvine, Texas which is shown in the photo. Shep Hyken is the author of Moments of Magic: Be a Star with Your Customers & Keep Them Forever. The second video recounts a similar cab ride from an airport to a hotel, this time with Taxi Terry, a private car service in Jacksonville, Florida. Taxi Terry has a local reputation for great costumer service. The following video featuring motivational speaker, Scott McKain explains what makes Taxi Terry such an exceptional taxi company. Scott McKain is the author of Collapse of Distinction: Stand Out and Move Up While Your Competition Fails. And finally, the third video features clips from Joel Weldon's The Willie Factor: Sales & Service Training DVD. Willie Cooly was a Memphis cab driver he met in 1980 in yet another trip from the airport to hotel. Willie was a taxi driver with a Mission Statement. The Mission Statement was "Promise a lot, deliver even more." From this one cab ride Joel Weldon developed a whole sales and service philosophy.
