Organizations: Transit Unions

TRANSIT UNIONS - Most unionized paratransit workers are represented by either the Amalgamated Transit Union or the Transit Workers of America. Founded in 1934, the TWU is today made up of 200,000 members (130,000 transit workers including paratransit) in 114 autonomous locals across 22 states. The Amalgamated Transit Union is the largest labour union representing workers in transit (including paratransit) in the United States and Canada (ATU Canada). Founded in 1892, today it is comprised of over 190,000 members in 264 local unions spread across 44 states and 9 provinces. The following video was produced by the ATU.

Thanks for this post! I never knew the ATU had a YouTube channel. I'll be watching their videos this coming weekend.
