NEWS: 4th MetroAccess Driver Charged with Sexual Assault of Passenger
MARYLAND - September 10, 2010 - A MetroAccess driver has been charged with the sexual assault of a female special needs passenger in his care on August 27, 2010. It is the fourth such incident involving a MetroAccess driver in 2010 ( see MetroAccess Taxi Driver Accused of Sexual Assault). The accused works for Challenger Transportation, a division of Regency Taxi; it is a sub-contracted service provider for MV Transportation which operates MetroAccess for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. A representative for MV Transportation stated in response to the latest sexual assault charges that all of its 1100 MetroAccess drivers have passed an extensive background check.
