WASHINGTON D.C. - Feb. 24, 2011 - Fox 5-TV reports that a MetroAccess paratransit driver is accused along with an accomplice in the robbery of the home of a customer he had picked up earlier that day. The rider is believed to have left a set of keys on the MetroAccess bus. While he was at dialysis treatment the robbery and theft of the victim's car took place. The same MetroAccess bus was reported to have been seen parked near the house when the crime occurred, and later the stolen car was stopped by police. The MetroAccess driver works for a company contracted to provide service for MetroAccess. The driver had been hired recently and had passed all background checks.
