Together: Demand Responsive Bus Service
DEMAND RESPONSIVE BUS SERVICE - The following video by Tim Tompson (produced through the University of Technology Sydney) offers an entertaining and informative look at how Demand Responsive Transport could be used as a viable form of community bus transport (in this case, in Australia). The model of delivery used is not unlike Smart Para-Transit as described in an earlier post, except with added emphasis on renewable energy, and personal transport alternatives like riding a bike. For more information on Demand Responsive Transportation see: DRT Resources. And to see examples of real working examples of ongoing operations see: DRT Providers.
