Chris, the man who uses a wheelchair makes a statement about other vehicle modifications that they are not safe. Thats not true. Companies like Braun and Viewpoint spend hundreds of thousands of dollars crash testing their vehicles to ensure they meet strict Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. They wouldn't be able to offer new vehicles legally if they didn't.

One other thing to take into account is that a person who actively lives with a disability cannot drive an MV-1. It is a passenger only vehicle, thats why the other conversions are worth more money! If you want a vehicle that is for transportation only, you certainly can get one for less than the $40K that a MV-1 costs as well.
