MV-1 TAXI IN DALLAS - KDFW Fox 4 News - August 24, 2009 - Dallas, Texas - What was once the Standard Taxi is now the MV-1. Like it's predecessor, it is built to meet or exceed ADA guidelines for accessibility, with room for up to 2 wheelchairs. Probably the biggest design change, apart from the new look, is the introduction of an optional compressed natural gas powertrain system. The following video features T. Boone Pickens, one of the MV-1's backers and a proponent of natural gas use. For more information see: T. Boone Pickens, Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert Hail Green Taxicab Prototype (Dallas News).
